Polypropylene Thick Fiber (PPTF)

Imitated steel fiber, the product is a substitute product developed for steel fiber, taking into account some characteristics of synthetic fiber. Compared with steel fiber, it has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, easy dispersion, easy construction and no damage to mixing equipment. The product is made of synthetic resin as raw material and processed by special process and surface treatment. It has the advantages of high breaking strength, good dispersion in concrete and strong grip. It can replace steel fiber for cement concrete, overcome the characteristics of low tensile strength, low ultimate elongation rate and brittleness of concrete, and has the properties of tensile strength, shear resistance, crack resistance, fatigue resistance and high toughness It has been applied in construction, road and bridge, hydraulic engineering and other engineering fields.

  • Dosage: it is recommended to add 0.3% - 0.9% steel like fiber by volume, i.e. 3kg-9kg per cubic meter of concrete.

  • Selection of length: 30mm-50mm for general anti crack reinforced concrete; 20mm-30mm for shotcrete.

  • Proportion design: generally, it is not necessary to change the grade proportion parameters of concrete, but refer to steel fiber reinforced concrete structure and construction specification cecs38:92. Special applications need to be tested for selection design. Considering that the concrete will cause micro cracks due to shrinkage, dry shrinkage and temperature change, 1kg monofilament micro fiber can be added to the concrete for better effect.

  • Mixer selection: double shaft horizontal forced mixer is selected.

  • Feeding and mixing process: first put in crushed stone, then put in crack resistance bar, then put in sand, mix to make the crack resistance bar fully dispersed, and then put in cement and water to mix evenly according to the conventional process. The construction can also be carried out in the order of conventional process, but the mixing time shall be extended appropriately to make the crack resistance bars evenly distributed.

  • Molding and curing process: if there is no special requirement, the vibrating time can be extended as appropriate. The concrete surface shall be slightly passivated before plastering, so as not to be brought out. Curing shall still be carried out according to the requirements of ordinary concrete.
